I got into flying because it never feels like work, and that still holds true. Most days, I’m at RIC, teaching students, avoiding my unopened Red Bull, and making sure we always land on all the wheels we took off with.

The best part of flying is the constantly changing scenery—especially if it’s a Key West sunset. If I’m not in the air, I’m probably bowling, sailing, or reminding students that we don’t taxi like we’re in the Daytona 500.

Having trained here myself, I love helping others succeed and achieve their aviation goals. Outside of flying, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, fishing, and golfing.

I’ve always loved the thrill of flying—it’s the best way to see the world. When I’m not in the sky, I’m probably somewhere with a granola bar in hand, thinking about my next takeoff.

I began flying four years ago in the Richmond area, and since becoming an instructor, I’ve enjoyed helping students evolve into confident, skilled pilots. The unique perspective flying offers constantly inspires me, and guiding others through their aviation journey has become one of my greatest passions. Outside of work, I enjoy golfing and spending time with friends and family.
